Celebrating at Hilton Orchard Imperial Ballroom

The Personal Take: Why This Space is Different

"Walking into the Imperial Ballroom, the first thing you notice is that it isn’t your typical flat-ground ballroom. It actually has three levels of platforms where the dining tables are placed.

Group shots from top down shots is great too!

I know some couples worry that the tiered seating might make table-to-table group shots difficult, but in my experience, it’s actually the opposite. I really like the three-tier setup because it gives me unique angles to work with, like being able to take beautiful top-down shots that you just can't get in a standard hall.

The large LED screens are another huge plus. Since the room is pillarless and the seating is tiered, every single guest gets a perfect view of the stage without having to crane their necks. Plus, the fairy lights provided by the hotel add a really nice, warm glow to the whole atmosphere."

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

"Because of the steps, there are a couple of things to be mindful of. If you’re wearing a large gown, you’ll want to take it slow and be extra careful during the march-in as you navigate the stairs. It’s also worth keeping an eye on the little ones, as children tend to love running up and down the platforms, which can be a bit of a hazard."

Beyond the Ballroom

A smaller area beside the ballroom - perfect for tea ceremony

"The layout outside the hall is just as practical. There’s plenty of space for a reception, and the restrooms are conveniently just a few steps away.

Right beside the ballroom, there’s a smaller space that’s perfect for a tea ceremony—it’s large enough to host about 30 people comfortably. Once the ceremony is over, that area works great for a photobooth or just a nice spot for your guests to mingle before the banquet starts."

Closing

"Personally, I always look forward to capturing weddings at the Hilton. It’s a space that offers something different, and I love how the unique layout helps me find those interesting perspectives. If you're planning your celebration here, I'd love to hear more about your plans!"
