As a photographer, shooting at the Hilton Orchard Imperial Ballroom is always an incredible experience. This recent wedding was no exception—it was a day filled with real traditions, elegant details, and moments that truly felt alive.

Location: Hilton Orchard Imperial Ballroom
Session Type: Wedding Photography

The Quiet Moments

The day started with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. These are the quiet, intimate moments I love to "hunt" for. Amidst the tea sets and traditional red outfits, I watched for the gentle smiles and the blessings from the elders. With the natural light coming into the room, I focused on catching the raw emotions that make a family story so special.

The Grand Entrance

When the evening moved to the Imperial Ballroom, the energy became loud and celebratory. The ballroom is famous for its huge, pillarless space and luxury chandeliers. For the grand march-in, I made sure to be ready for the "drama." Seeing the couple walk hand-in-hand under the glowing lights, beaming with joy, was a highlight of the night.

Unscripted Joy

During the cake-cutting and champagne toast, I stayed back to catch the unscripted parts. I looked for the sudden laughter, the whispers between the couple, and the guests cheering them on. Whether it’s a loud toast or a quiet look, these moments only happen once. If I don’t catch them, they’re gone for good.

The Art of the Portrait

Throughout the night, I balanced these candid shots with intentional portraits. I used the Hilton’s modern decor to guide the couple with simple prompts. My goal is always to make them feel at ease so their true personality shines through in every creative shot.

Final Thoughts

A wedding at the Hilton Orchard is grand, but the memories are personal. After 10 years of experience, I’ve learned that my job is simply to be ready for the "Story."

If you are planning your wedding at the Hilton Orchard, I’d love to help you keep these memories forever.
