A Relaxed Prewedding Shoot at Gallop Extension & Marina East Beach
When a couple asks for a casual shoot that feels just like them, I skip the stiff poses. My goal is simple: let them move naturally, have fun, and let the camera capture the real moments.
For this session, we chose two great spots in Singapore—the green lawns at Gallop Extension (Botanic Gardens) and the breezy coastline near Marina Barrage.
1. Fun and Movement at Gallop Extension
Gallop Extension is a fantastic place to start because the wide open space helps couples relax right away.
Playing with Clear Umbrellas: I gave them transparent umbrellas to play with. Taking photos through the clear plastic added a cool, fun look and brought out natural smiles.
Keeping Things Moving: Instead of telling them how to stand, I let them run, share a piggyback ride on the grass, and lie down together inside the white window art installation.
Colonial Backdrops: The historic black-and-white houses and white structures made clean, beautiful frames for their simple white outfits.
2. Sea Breeze and Sparklers at Marina East Beach
In the late afternoon, we drove down to the rocky beach near Marina Barrage for a different mood by the sea.
Puddle Reflections: I held my camera very low near the water puddles on the rocks to capture mirror-like reflections of the sky and the couple.
Meaningful Touches: We took quiet, close-up shots of them reading handwritten notes and tossing paper airplanes into the sea breeze.
Sparklers at Dusk: When the sun went down and the sky turned blue, we lit sparklers. The warm glow added a cozy, magical feel to end the shoot.
