Bandstand Solemnisation & Intimate Dinner at Fotia | Sid & Johanna
There is something incredibly magical about a wedding day that completely strips away the rigid formalities to focus entirely on connection, joy, and celebration. Sid and Johanna’s big day was exactly that—a beautiful, intentional, and deeply personal intimate wedding in Singapore that moved effortlessly from an iconic outdoor landmark to a cozy, lively dinner.
As their actual day wedding photographer, capturing the sheer warmth radiating from these two and their favorite people was a dream from start to finish.
The Solemnisation: A Timeless Moment at the Bandstand
The day began at the historic Bandstand at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Surrounded by lush, towering greenery and bathed in soft morning light, it served as the ultimate romantic backdrop for their wedding solemnisation. The iconic gazebo provided a perfect natural stage for Sid and Johanna to exchange their vows.
For couples planning a Singapore Botanic Gardens wedding, the Bandstand offers an organic, timeless elegance that looks absolutely breathtaking in both high-resolution stills and cinematic video sequences.
The Reception: Laughter, Hugs, and Dancing at Fotia, Duxton Hill
Following their serene outdoor ceremony, the celebration shifted to the vibrant enclave of Duxton Hill for their wedding dinner at Fotia. Opting for a restaurant wedding venue in Singapore is a fantastic choice for couples who want to prioritize incredible food and an effortless, relaxed atmosphere—and Fotia delivered exactly that.
The energy during the dinner was unforgettable. Away from the strict timelines of traditional banquet halls, the evening breathed naturally. The space was filled with a constant flow of tight hugs, tearful toasts, and spontaneous bursts of laughter. From the joyful cake cutting to everyone hitting the floor for some heartfelt dancing, every single frame captured raw, unscripted emotion.
Documenting Your Unique Love Story
Sid and Johanna’s celebration is the perfect inspiration for modern couples looking to craft a wedding day that genuinely reflects who they are. It proved that you don't need a massive guest list to have an incredibly impactful, high-energy milestone.
Huge congratulations, Sid and Johanna! Thank you for letting Story & Art preserve these unforgettable memories for you.

Capturing Mianchou & Gina’s Actual Day Wedding | Raw Moments & Cinematic Highlights
So incredibly happy to share this one. Mianchou has been a close friend of mine for a long time, so getting to document his and Gina’s wedding day was honestly extra special. When you transition from being a guest to being the one capturing a brother’s milestone through Singapore wedding photography and videography, the responsibility hits differently—and I loved every second of it.
And let me tell you, the energy of this celebration was just on another level from start to finish. We kicked off the morning with the absolute chaos of the traditional Singapore gate-crashing highlights. Between the insane spice challenges, hilarious forfeits, and pure determination from the groomsmen, it gave us the perfect high-energy footage that always makes an actual day wedding videography reel so fun to look back on.
Behind all the laughter, the heart of the day came through during their solemnization. They exchanged some of the funniest, most honest vows I’ve ever heard—reminding me why I love being a wedding videographer in Singapore. It’s those unscripted, emotional soundbites that truly bring a cinematic wedding film to life.
What really stood out to me throughout the day was their bridal party. The brothers and sisters are just such a genuine, tight-knit group of people. From handling the logistics to bringing the hype, you could feel how much deep love and support they have for these two.
It’s an awesome feeling seeing a great friend find someone who makes him this genuinely happy. Huge congratulations again, Mianchou and Gina! Thank you for trusting Story & Art to preserve these unforgettable memories.

An Intimate Destination Wedding at Mount Faber Glasshouse | Han & Shirlyn
There is something deeply poetic about traveling across borders to start a new chapter together. For Han and Shirlyn, who came all the way from China, Singapore wasn't just a destination—it was the beautiful backdrop chosen for their forever. Getting to document their stunning, intimate wedding as their actual day wedding videographer was an absolute privilege.
They chose to exchange their vows at the Mount Faber Glasshouse, one of the most romantic and unique wedding venues in Singapore. Nestled amidst lush greenery with panoramic views, the floor-to-ceiling glass windows filled the space with soft, natural light—a dream setting for capturing raw emotion and creating a truly cinematic wedding film.
The Beauty of an Intimate Wedding in Singapore
Away from the rush of massive banquet halls, Han and Shirlyn opted for a beautifully curated, close-knit celebration. This allowed the day to breathe. Every smile, every tear, and every toast felt incredibly intentional. As a professional provider of Singapore wedding videography, I always find that smaller guest counts bring out the most honest and profound moments between a couple and their loved ones.
From the quiet, tender moments during their preparation to the heartfelt laughter shared over their wedding lunch, the atmosphere was filled with pure joy. The surrounding hilltop views of Mount Faber added an elegant, timeless touch to their couple portraits, perfectly blending nature with modern architecture.
Preserving Cross-Border Love Stories
Han and Shirlyn’s celebration is a beautiful reminder that love knows no boundaries. Crafting a film for a destination wedding requires a delicate balance—capturing the essence of the location while keeping the focus entirely on the couple's personal connection.
Huge congratulations, Han and Shirlyn! Thank you for letting us preserve your beautiful journey.
