An Urban Wedding Celebration at Vatos Kitchen & Bar (Copy)
When Yew Hong and Sharon planned their Singapore wedding, they wanted a day that perfectly balanced heartfelt morning customs with a sophisticated evening celebration. From an emotional morning to a grand dinner banquet at the Hilton Hotel, our goal was to document the authentic, unposed moments as their story unfolded.
Here is a quick overview of their beautifully paced wedding day:
The Morning: Intimate preparation, a touching parents' veiling, and a high-energy gatecrash.
The Outdoor Shoot: A relaxed and fun bridal party photoshoot at the scenic Bidadari Park.
The Evening Banquet: An elegant reception at the Hilton Hotel Singapore, featuring two grand march-ins and heartfelt speeches.
Morning Traditions and Bridal Party Portraits at Bidadari Park
The day began quietly with Sharon’s morning makeup and preparation. Before the lively festivities began, we captured one of the most emotional moments of the morning: the traditional veiling by her parents. These intimate family interactions are often the most meaningful to look back on, and we always ensure they are documented naturally and without interruption.
Shortly after, the energy shifted entirely as Yew Hong and his groomsmen arrived for the gatecrash. The challenges and the eventual fetching of the bride were filled with genuine laughter and excitement, providing the perfect environment for candid wedding photography.
To wrap up the morning session, the couple and their closest friends headed out for a group photoshoot. We chose Bidadari Park for its beautiful, lush greenery, which served as a fresh and relaxed backdrop. Rather than stiffly posing the group, we encouraged them to interact naturally, resulting in dynamic and incredibly fun bridal party portraits.
Elegant Evening Banquet at the Hilton Hotel Singapore
As the sun set, the celebration moved indoors to the beautiful ballroom at the Hilton Hotel Singapore. The venue’s elegant setup provided a stunning atmosphere for the evening dinner reception.
Yew Hong and Sharon treated their guests to two spectacular march-ins. The first march-in set a joyful tone for the banquet, while their second entrance—featuring a wardrobe change into a striking evening gown—brought an extra layer of glamour to the room under the ballroom spotlights.
A major highlight of the night was the couple's thank-you speech. Instead of pulling the couple away for staged photos, we stayed close to the action to capture the raw reactions. From the couple’s emotional delivery to the laughter and cheers from the guests at their tables, we documented the vibrant energy of the room exactly as it felt.
