From Coney Island to Gallop Extension: A Family Story Continued

Natural family outdoor photoshoot in Singapore, using the modern architecture of the Gallop Extension window as the foreground

There is something incredibly special about documenting a family as they transition through different chapters of their lives. This family outdoor photoshoot in Singapore was particularly meaningful to me because it was their second session with my lens.

Our first meeting was a few years ago at Coney Island. Back then, it was a tender, quieter season. They had their young daughter by their side, and mummy was carrying another precious life in her tummy. That session was filled with anticipation—the rustic tall grass of the island framing the beautiful glow of a growing family.

Fast forward to today, and we met again—this time at the Botanic Gardens Gallop Extension to capture them as a family of four.

Seeing this journey unfold is one of the most rewarding parts of being a family photographer in Singapore. Their eldest, once the baby I photographed at Coney Island, is now full of energy and curiosity. The newest member completes the picture, bringing fresh laughter and new stories. The minimalist architecture and rolling greens of the Gallop Extension provided the perfect backdrop for these unscripted, honest moments.

Location: Singapore Botanic Gardens, Gallop Extension
Session Type: Family Outdoor photoshoot
